The objective of this course is to train salespersons who desire to handle the leasing of retail/shop space in shopping malls and shop houses. This course is intended for people who do not have a background in leasing retail or shop space but would like to handle such transactions. The course helps participants understand the roles and responsibilities of the leasing agent, the landlord and the retail tenant. It helps participants understand the unique characteristics of retail space, what drives demand for such premises and what do landlords and tenants look for. It enlightens participants on the special rental structures and lease conditions of shopping space and the importance of understanding the permitted retail usage of the premises, prior to marketing the space
