What is UTAP?
UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is a training grant given exclusively to NTUC union members to encourage members to go for skills upgrading and help to defray their training cost.
With effect from 1 January 2013, NTUC members can enjoy 50% claims on the unfunded course fee or up to $250 per year when they sign up for courses approved by UTAP. NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022.
To apply for UTAP
1. To be eligible for UTAP Funding, you need to be a NTUC member before your course commencement date. Sign up today if you are not a member. If you are starting your RES/REA course at RCN and applying for membership, please remember to TICK on the clause “Tick here to start membership in current month due to UTAP application” to ensure you will be eligible for UTAP funding.
2. Funding of the 50% claims on the unfunded course fee or up to $250 per year under the UTAP programme. This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST and registration fee etc.
